Well I'll not suggest you for going as far as a poison. While cleaning your room with water, mix some kerosine oil, one teaspoon or so. Within two days there will be no ants around.

try sprinkling cinnamon around the places they come in.weird, i know, but it seems to work. it wont kill them, but they dont like it for some reason.
