chinchilla question. i have 1 chinchilla that i love very much because he is very sweet and affectionate,?

but i think hes lonely. if i get another chinchilla to live with him, will his nice personality go away? could that chinchilla make him meaner? i wouldnt want him to just forget about people and only care for his new chinchilla friend.
Answers:
Pets are usually lonely try to get him a partner so that he would not feel lonely. But it depends on his temperament and mood he might get aggressive and start fighting with its partner..
Make sure you get one that is the same sex as he is. He will have a buddy, they will bond of course but you can still bond to the new one and have both of them happy.
He needs a mate. Chinchillas mate for life. Getting him a friend is a necessity, it won't change it's temperment around you.
depends on how old he is, we have 3 chinchillas and were told by the breeder of the last one that male chins dont take well to new companions after they are past 2 years old.

but who knows.
