can you house a mouse with a hamster?

i know it may sound a stupid question, i have kept hamsters for years %26 have recently been given two mice, i would like to introduce them but would hate to see them tear each other apart within seconds
Answers:
If you would hate to see it, then do not house them together. Hamsters are finicky animals. They don't play well with other species. Dwarf ham's together are fine. A dwarf and a syrian ham are not. Two syrian hams are not. A ham and a gerbil are not, a ham and a rat are not, a ham and a mouse are not.

Your pets will be far happier with friends of their own species!
Toss one mouse in, if it survives the first day toss the second one in; problem solved.
No, I tried this once and they started fighting.
You can try putting them together with a divider in the cage for a few days to see how they respond to each other. Make sure you clean the cage thoroughly and put in fresh bedding before putting then in so there is no clear territory marked at the onset.
Sometimes. It depends on the disposition of all critters involved. Clean the cage entirely, put in a divider, and house mouse on one side, hampsters on the other. Make sure to provide plenty of hidey holes, food, and water if you are going to take the divider down.
NO.

Syarian (teddy bear) hamsters are to only be kept alone. They will kill all animals to defent thier territory.

Hamsters with hamsters- mice with mice.
No no no! The hamster will probably kill the mouse. Dont even try it!
