Can you keep a red eyed box turtle as a house pet?

If so what do you feed it and keep it in?

You can but consult a vet before getting and try to learn as much you can. Or Consult to this link: http://www.aqualandpetsplus.com/turtle,%.

First, you need to find out if it is LEGAL for you to keep it as a pet.

Second, you need to RESEARCH the living daylights out of the web to find out about this type of turtle and what it's requirements are.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/box_turtles.

this is the dog section in case you didnt know post the question in other pets oh my mistake this is the other pet section God bless
if its not an edangered species. it sounds like a 3 toed box turtle. they need alot of room to roam, and you can buy commercial box turtle foods. they are specially made for box turtles. just make sure you have plenty of room for it to roam.
Please visit http://www.boxturtlesite.org to see if you can figure out which of the box turtles you really have- there is no turtles called 'the red eyed box turtle'.

That site can also help you care for it.

Note- if you found it wild, you'd be better off releasing it- not only are they protected by law in most places, but wild-caught box turtles make poor pets for beginners.
