do all english shows allow garter straps?

do all english shows (w/ mostly jumping) allow you to wear garter straps w/ jodphurs and paddock boots? and if so, are they a wise invesment?
Answers:
They will be permitted in all pony divisions. Children's divisions if the child is riding a pony. If the child has gotten very tall they will begin to look odd, but if the child is still growing it will be a better investment than custom riding boots. The prize list will usually include proper attire for each division.
Sorry but I have not the slightest idea what you are talking about.
Most shows should allow it but if you are unsure you should ask show officials or others who have been to a particular show and it could change I have used them before so the best thing to do is research the show you are planning to enter.
depends what level you are competing at.most are quite strict and require full length boots. young riders and showing are mostly allowed to wear jodpur boots
I believe it is based on the participants age. If you are wearing boots and jodphurs garters are probably required. Once you reach a certain age they expect you to be in dress or field boots. Garters are a good investment though you can sell them when the boots are outgrown or keep them for practice instead of scuffing your tall boots. They're cheaper than half chaps.
they are called jod(hpur) straps not garter straps. all english shows allow you to wear them and quite a few judges will knock points off of the rider in an equitation class for wearing tall boots. because children are constantly growing, it is much better to invest in a a pair of paddock boots every time the childs foot grows than to invest in a pair of tall boots every time. about the time that the child gets tall boots broken in is the time he needs new ones. All shows under 4-H/FFA rules follow the US Equestrian Federation rules. The USEF governs most if not all shows in the US as well as quite a few internationally hosted events. These rules state that jod straps are acceptable as well as encouraged in children. I think the cutoff age is 13 or 14.
