Heck NO they are endangered speicies
It depends on your state. Check with Fresh water fish and game on your city. Every state has different rules. Here in Fla it is a class 3 animal so you need to fill out ap from FWFG to keep the animal. but they are VERY high strung animals and nippy at times. you may want to volunteer to get a feel for the animal's personality.
I have no idea why you would want to keep a wild animal captive. Nonetheless, in most states you can SELL exotics, but it illegal to OWN them without proper permits. Check your state. And hey, leave the Steve Irwin thing alone. If you appreciated anything he did, do what you can to continue the cause. Don't sensationalize his death. That's really shallow.
