can we tame a gray wolf?

Answers:
Not a good idea, wolves are wild animals and belong in the wild not locked up or tied up in someones yard or house. Also, it is illegal in most places. If you really love them so much than let them have their freedom, and don't own one for your own selfish reasons. Go get a husky or a malamute and pretend it's a wolf.
a wolf can be conditioned to live with a human trainer, but it is still a wild animal.
.not a good idea.

besides, foxes are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much cuter. But they are even worse pets.
Why would you want to they belong in the wild not as a pet
My next door neighbor used to have a gray wolf. They raised it from a pup. It was SO sweet. But, they had to keep it pinned up or chained up because if it ever got lose (which it did one time) it was a heck of a time to catch her. They are so fast.
unless you'ere good at it,it would be hard.i would not recomend doing that because it's against nature
well it depends where u live and if u have the stuff for it because if a wolf grows up around people and and u decide to let it go it could get servilely hurt and if there are kids around it could hurt them. and if u live some where around farms and it gets out it could kill there live stock. but see it all depends.
wolves are cute but remember they are meant to be in the wild. And you never know..they can turn on you anysecond. But their are zoos that have trained wolves to be like dogs. Its a lot of hard work. I would just get a regular dog.
Depending on the laws in your area and where you get the pup it can be trained to love people like a dog. But it is still a wolf.
no you can raise them but no matter what you do they will always be wild and eventually turn on you or someone else and then they will have to be put down and would that be fair to the animal just because you wanted one?
i wouldnt say tame but it is possible to make friends with them.i had a gray wolf and a timber wolf that i raised from cubs..i had them for eight yrs until they got heartworms and my vet refused to treat them because they were wolves.my male, which was the gray, had a very sweet disposition..my niece would ride him and play with him.Kajairo thought he was human.but my timber, the female.well she still had that 'wolf' all in her, although i never had any problems from her, she still had that wildness to her.i live out in the country and dont have any close neighbors..i kept them in a large lot, bout an 1/2 acre or so and would take them out into the deer camp where i turned them loose to run and play.they always stayed close but it was a good hour walk before they was ready to go home.i believe you have to find that common ground and treat them as what they are..wolves.they have a need to hunt, to run free and not be tamed.but you can be friends with them.you have to respect them and give them that respec back.id also make sure you read up on your local laws and talk to some vets in your area bout treating them before you purchase one.they are wonderful companions, but you have to be a wonderful friend to them as well
My friend had a gray wolf as a pet. It was the sweetest animal I ever knew. It loved humans, althought it was a bit hyper and jumped on me all the time. I hope that its mother is around and you don't take it from its mother. Why don't you get a malamute? I had two of them and they are very nice animals without the huge Wolfie nature.
wolves are wild animals and they belong in the wild
Gotta breed specially
Probably so, but it's better to leave in their own habitat.
Can you tame a shark not to eat a person? can you tame a lion not to kill you? Or tame any other animal that may kill you not to kill you?
If you want a wolflike dog check a humane society instead of making a wild animal miserable you'd be saving another dog's life. I'm sure they probaly have something to your liking.
Well, there's one thing to remember. Grey wolves are pack animals and u would need to show who's boss (alpha male/female) from the beginning. Have you ever experienced raising any animal from a young age? It would be a good idea to read up on them and enter the pup into personal (1-on-1) training as soon as possible.
Did we forget this is a wildANIMAL?
Yes you can. One of my parents friends has a wolf fo r a pet and it is just like a dog
I suppose you could if it's very young and it has lost it's mother.
You have to register a wolf to keep one. They will always be wild.
no problems if you raise him from 6 weeks old.
